ALEXANDRU HIGYED

ALEXANDRU HIGYED graduated from The Faculty of Letters, History and Theology in Timișoara, the Romanian-English Department, and holds an MA in American Studies. He is a performer, poet, bookshop manager at the independent bookshop La Două Bufnițe (The Two Owls’ Shop) and a member of the Contrasens Cultural Association. He is currently writing his PhD thesis on the topic of Performance Poetry as an interactive phenomenon. In addition to his bookshop managing activity, he also coordinates the “Comuna 30” project where he looks forward to identifying as many new literary voices as possible.
