ANGYAL GYULA (pronounce: „un-dyall dew-lah”) a poet and showman from Szigetszentmiklós, Hungary, next to the capital city Budapest, from the shore of the Danube river. Being booked, but not booed in 5 countries, namely in Hungary, Romania, Austria, Germany and Slovakia, this entertainer comes to Bucuresti the 5th time by the invitation of the Romanian poet and organizer Peter Sragher. Angyal Gyula earned the nickname Puszta Cowboy (puszta = Hungarian plain) in Austria by his outfits and passion; he delivers his poetry in Hungarian, German and English. His skin is covered by twenty-some tattoos, most of them have cultural and scientific meaning. This Hungarian poet started to perform at poetry slams the first year of the Hungarian scene (2008) and he organized and hosted some dozens of events in Hungary under the aegis of Astoria Slam Poetry. His art is often influenced by music, usually by metal and rock. Instead of taboos, he believes in building bridges among people and nations. Angyal Gyula publicated his poems in various Hungarian, Romanian and Austrian literature ‘zines, besides he is a member of the Mensa HungarIQa association. His purpose is to give good vibes and some charismatic Hungarian experience to the audience everywhere in the world.
